To get started on Warpcast, you will need to download the Warpcast application to your phone. You will be able to use Warpcast on a desktop computer, but the account must be created on a mobile device.

It’s important to store this phrase securely as losing it can mean losing access to your account. You’ll also need to provide a phone number or pay a $5 signup fee as part of the account verification process to discourage spam and bots​.
  3. Understanding Warps: Warps are the in-app currency used within Warpcast for various actions like creating channels, tipping other users, or minting NFTs directly from posts, known as Frames. Warps can be earned through active participation on the platform or purchased directly within the app.

What are Channels?

Channels on Warpcast are specialized feeds where users can gather and discuss specific topics, akin to the way subreddits function on Reddit.

Anyone who meets certain activity thresholds on Farcaster and can pay the required fee in Warps can create a channel. T

his feature blends traditional social media feed experiences with topic-focused discussions, allowing users to either join existing channels or start new ones based on their interests​.

Creating a channel on Warpcast involves choosing a name (which must be under 16 characters and contain only lowercase letters and numbers), paying a fee, and potentially inviting co-hosts to help manage the channel.

Channel hosts have privileges such as setting channel norms, pinning or hiding posts, and even blocking users from posting in the channel. This level of control helps maintain the focus and integrity of discussions within each channel​.
